Leticia Ramirez
General Counsel

Leticia Ramirez serves as General Counsel for Calbright College. A first-generation college graduate and daughter of Mexican immigrants, Leticia has dedicated her legal career to advising and representing cities and other public agencies as in-house and outside counsel. She joins the college with a strong background and expertise in advising elected and appointed officials and executive staff on legal matters and policy development and strategy.

Leticia was most recently a Deputy County Counsel for Sacramento County and prior to that, served as City Attorney for a growing full-service city with a population of 98,000 and over 600 employees. Before serving as in-house counsel, Leticia worked for a private law firm specializing in advising public entities and clerked for a federal magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. Prior to law school, Leticia held various roles in policy, advocacy and political/labor organizing.

Leticia holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stanford University and earned her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law.  She resides in Sacramento with her husband, two Boston Terriers, and a cat.
