Cheryl Van

Cheryl Van is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience. During her career, Cheryl has worked as an HR Business Partner, an Organization Development Consultant, has headed up Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development functions, and has served as the Head of HR. Cheryl has experience in health care, finance, biotechnology, insurance, and multiple facets of the high technology industry. In addition to her role as an HR leader, Cheryl is an adjunct professor at the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University. Cheryl has a track record of building strong teams comprised of individuals with different strengths, and of creating partnerships with vendors that enable employees and companies to achieve success. She is known for being a leader that helps the people around her grow and excel, whether they be employees on her team, peers, or colleagues from adjacent groups. Cheryl takes pride in developing relationships in all corners of the organization and is known for pitching in and doing whatever it takes to help the organization thrive. Cheryl has a master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco, and bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Cheryl is a native of San Francisco, and lives with her husband and sons on the San Francisco Peninsula.
