Brendan Volheim is the VP of Engineering at Calbright. Brendan has spent the last 12 years of his career working at various levels of big and small technology companies. Most recently he worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Yewno, a Data Science company, providing data insights to universities, publishing companies, and financial institutions around the world. There he utilized his experience of engineering best practices to bring not only their SaaS solutions but also their data science pipelines to top industry standards. He also helped maintain a 20 person engineering team while halving the company’s AWS bill through refactoring their tech stack. Prior to Yewno, he worked at Zynga an online gaming company supporting millions of daily active users on their various games like FarmVille and Word with Friends. In his spare time, he enjoys playing ice hockey, golfing, and camping with his family.
