Calbright College is a California Community College established and approved to operate by the State of California (California Education Code § 75001). Though currently in the process of accreditation, Calbright is currently not accredited. As an unaccredited institution, certificates earned from the College may be subject to the following limitations:

1. A student enrolled in an unaccredited institution may not be able to sit for some applicable licensure examinations. This does not include industry-recognized certifications.
2. A degree program that is unaccredited or a degree from an unaccredited institution is not recognized for some employment positions, including, but not limited to, positions within the State of California.
3. A student enrolled in an unaccredited institution is not eligible for state or federal financial aid programs.
